Dry up urine and then lightly spray the area and let it dry naturally. That removes the pheromones that draw your pet back to the spot. Sometimes the urine gets into the seam of where the flooring comes together. To treat that area, turn the nozzle to stream, then spray along the seam and allow it to dry, you can’t saturate like you can with carpet because you don’t want to damage the floor or subfloor underneath, so it may take a couple of sessions to remove the odor.
Absorb as much of the urine or waste as you can and spray Hard Floor Cleaner onto the affected area. Let sit for 5-10 minutes and then wipe up.
Always test in an inconspicuous area to ensure no discoloration and do not over saturate the wood floor as this can cause blistering or warping of the wood.
Yes, the Unique Hard Floor Cleaner works great on tile or natural stone like slate. Dry up the urine then spray a generous amount on the area. Then allow it to dry naturally. It will not leave any ring or stickiness when it is dry. Don’t forget the grout, grout can be porous so be sure to spray the grout lines well and again, let dry naturally.
For large areas it is best to use the Pet Odor + Stain Eliminator Concentrate. You can mix it up in a bucket and use a mop to apply it to the floor. If you have real wood floors, you do not want to soak the floor, this could cause the floor to blister or warp. Then allow it to dry naturally.
Only mix up as much as you will use in the next 7 days. The bacteria need food so if you mix up too much it will start to lose its efficacy the bacteria will die.
